The power of storytelling is undeniable and is what helps us find our place in the world.

Alayna has been a Talent Acquisition leader in the tech and media space for 10 years at Netflix, seeing the company through significant growth from the early days of streaming to one of the world's leading entertainment services. She has recruited across Engineering, Policy, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources, and has led foundational searches for executive roles across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.


She is currently responsible for leading the recruiting team for Netflix’s Talent team, where she has overseen growing the org from 175 to 600 and building out new verticals such as L&OD and Diversity and Inculsion.

Yasmin Sotomayor

HR Business Partner, Director, Netflix


People do their best in a work-culture where there is a sense of belonging - feel included, appreciated and supported.

Yasmin Sotomayor is a first-generation Persian-American. She is from Los Angeles and is the HR Director for the Netflix Teams of Tax, CREWS (Global Real Estate, Workplace, Employee Health and Security), and the SOMOS ERG. Previously, she led the HR function at Grindr and her prior experiences include HR at the Los Angeles Times and Discovery Communications. On the weekends, you can find her exploring the LA Zoo with her spouse and two kids (6 years old and 3 year old). 

Zulema Uriarte

Director, Inclusion Strategy - Animation, Netflix


Let purpose be your fuel.

Zulema joined the Inclusion Strategy team at Netflix in 2021 where she supports the Netflix Animation Studios. Previous to Netflix, Zulema worked at The Walt Disney Company for nearly a decade, majority of which was spent supporting the Walt Disney Animation Studios. Zulema joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2011 initially as part of the recruitment team and then transitioned into the Talent Development and Outreach department where she focused on expanding talent pipeline streams to include historically marginalized communities.

Director, Talent Acquisition

Princesa is the Director of Talent Acquisition supporting the Data & Insights Organization at Netflix. She is proud to be first generation Mexican, Peruvian and Chinese. In her role she partners with leaders to strategize how we increase representation across teams. She loves the ability to be her authentic self in her role and continuing to influence how we hire more stunning talent for Netflix.
